croxley ales in farmingdale

by Donavan

Rich announced last night on the BeerMalt mailing list (Long Island Beer and Malt Enthusiasts) that the new Croxley Ales in Farmingdale is open for business. The new location is at 190 Main St. in Farmingdale the location of the former Downtown Night Club. It appears that Farmingdale welcomed Croxley Ales as part of their Main Street Revitalization project. I’ve added the new place to The Guide. If you have any more information, let me know. I’ll head out there to check it out for myself when I can.

Beware! I got a parking ticket last week after having a great lunch break at the new Croxley’s on Main St, Farmingdale. Watch where you park in the rear lot and make sure you are in the 3 hour spots.

Just backing up what Angela said, since I work in Farmingdale. Parking regulations in Farmingdale’s municipal lots are enforced aggressively, especially during the day, by the village’s Code Enforcement officers. It’s pretty much all they do, so they don’t miss much. There are three-hour spots where anyone can park for that amount of time, but there are also 12-hour spots which require a village permit. Be careful not to park in those.

And a couple of related points: they will ticket you for backing into a space (there are posted “Head-in Parking Only” signs), and they will ticket you if your state registration or inspection stickers are expired… or not properly attached. Again, a bigger concern during the day, but they’re occasionally out into the evening.
