Drinking in Place or The Meaning of Beer

Drinking in Place is a collection of observations on pub and drinking culture. The plan behind this book is that I go to one pub, the same pub, Callahan's, frequently (once a week) and drink there. Then I come home and write about my observations. Simple? I hope it will be an entertaining and (at the same time) thought provoking examination of the pub and its role in our culture.

The text of Drinking in Place will be serialized during 2007 on A Good Beer Blog and reprinted a few days later on Catch & Release.

A print edition should be available in 2008. Send me an email if you want to be notified when the book is available.
