Review

Finely's had a decent selection of beers, but several of their taps were out including the Southampton Secret. Finley's had a couple of Brooklyn taps including Pennant Ale 55. I violated my rule of drinking local when I saw Finely's had Kwak on tap. The Kwak was served in a pint glass as opposed to the distinctive funnel and sphere glass that it's supposed to be served in. On tap, the Kwak poured like chocolate milk, a colloidal suspension of yeast that looked more like mud with a dollop of mocha foam on top. The guy next to me at the bar pointed at the glass of Kwak as if it was something that had just emerged from an alien space craft and asked, "What the hell is that?" My neighbor was drinking Stella. He was a lager man, so I talked him into trying the Yuengling. I explained Yuengling was from Pennsylvania. He said he had never ordered it because he thought it was a Chinese beer. "No, it's American," I said.
