We are a nanobrewery located in Rocky Point, Long Island. We brew on a 50 gallon Blichmann system. Over the years we've brewer some really good German-style lager beers. We also brew German and Belgian-style ales. And we love cask conditioned ale. Look for RPAB on taps in and near Rocky Point.

How it all began...

Why We Brew

Each year, Donavan (on left) gets it in his head that he's got to come up with some kind of project, a year defining project, something that he can start and work on for the whole calendar year. Well, in 2008 his project was this: he would only drink the beer he brewed when he was at home. This meant that Donavan could not purchase beer at a beer store or brewery and bring it to his house. He would only drink that beer that he and Mike brewed at the RPAB brewery less than a quarter of a mile from his house.

Four years later, Donavan still only drinks RPAB beer at his home pub (which he calls "The Angler"). "It was a necessary step," Donavan said. "I wouldn't expect anyone else to drink RPAB beer, if I didn't."

Being a community supported brewery, we get a lot of help from the folks that live in Rocky Point. On brewday folks are welcome to come by and lend a hand.
